We understand that tuition can be a significant investment, and it’s crucial to consider this aspect when planning your academic journey. Our fees vary according to the field of study and course type, with costs outlined annually or in total for the entire course duration. International students generally expect undergraduate tuition to range between A$31,000 to A$40,600 annually, while postgraduate courses may vary from A$28,200 to A$47,790 annually.

How to Apply

Swinburne University welcomes international students to its cosmopolitan Sydney campus. If you’re on a temporary visa, such as a Student visa, Bridging visa, or Business visa, you’re considered an international student. Before starting your application, check if you’re eligible for international student scholarships that may cover living expenses, tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and more.

For course-specific tuition fee details, refer to the website fees for international students section. If you’re a Year 12 student studying in Australia, you’ll need to apply via the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). For online application, you can apply for English language courses, Foundation Year, UniLink diploma, Vocational education, Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree.

Required documents for online application include certified copies of previous academic results, certified English language proficiency test results, letters from your school or employer, and a Statement of Activity for a gap in the study. If you’re applying for credit, include course outlines and translated copies from your previous/current course.

For local students (Australian citizens, permanent residents, NZ citizens), ensure you meet all the entry requirements for your chosen course before applying. Current Year 12 students should apply via the VTAC website. Non-Year 12 students can apply directly to Swinburne or through VTAC. Swinburne also offers the opportunity to study completely online through innovative technologies for those unable to travel to campus.
