Tuition Fees and Scholarships
At the University of Canberra (UC), tuition fees are meticulously structured, ensuring transparency and clarity for all students. International students are required to pay their tuition fees upfront, with the amount depending on the specific degree being studied. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and are based on a full-time study load. The cost per unit can be calculated by multiplying the unit’s Equivalent Full-Time Study Load (EFTSL) value by the annual tuition fee. Living costs and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), which funds campus facilities and services, are also to be considered in the overall expenses. As an example of the fee structure, undergraduate programs for international students range from AUD 28,000 to AUD 34,000 per year, while postgraduate programs range from AUD 29,000 to AUD 39,000 per year. For domestic students, undergraduate programs range from AUD 11,000 to AUD 29,000 annually, and postgraduate programs range from AUD 15,000 to AUD 32,000 annually. Additional costs may include textbooks, digital devices, uniforms, and visa-related expenses for international students.
To support students financially, UC offers a range of generous scholarships for international students who have excelled academically. These scholarships range from 10–25% off the total tuition fee, and eligibility is automatically assessed as part of the application process.
